Yeah I wasn't comfortable with lotrimin on my nips. I got nystatin for both of us, and I ended up taking a round of diflucan.

Everything I read says treat both of you. But I understand wanting to double check when it says poison control! I second wiping the nips with vinegar after every feeding until you speak to your dr. Then make sure to sterilize everything. Don't freeze any milk if you pump too.

You could wipe your nipples with a solution of vinegar and water, sterilise everything that comes in contact with your nipples and LO's mouth (paci's, bottles, toys etc) and try and keep your nipples as dry as possible (sunshine is also good for them, as is coconut oil).

Make sure that both of you are treated so you don't keep reinfecting each other and fingers crossed you get rid of it ASAP!

I noticed that Hyla had a white coating on her tongue the last few days, but I thought it was just milk tongue until today when I noticed spots on her cheek. My mommy gut was right and the ped told us she has a mild case of thrush.

The pharmacist told me to put Lotramin on my nips if I have any symptoms, but I hesitate to put anything on them when the label says to not ingest and call Poison Control.

I can't call the midwives until tomorrow, so I wanted to see if the hive had any suggestions for the interim.
