She said if it cleared up it was eczema, and if it didn't it was likely ringworm. It cleared up after a few days of twice-daily hydrocortisone, so we chalked it up to eczema! Ringworm (which isn't a worm!) is usually actually spread by people, not dogs, unless they have bald patches or known skin issues. Also usually looks more red. Your PCP will know!</p> <p>ETA: My LO gets cradle cap in patches, not widespread. Our pediatrician said it was some type of dermatitis. I had noticed it at his 4 month appointment last week and our dr said it was just cradle cap but it was way worse today. I'm fearing ringworm since we have dogs but I'm not sure.
