That is why it took SO long. It was revised down to $336 and I only found out when my insurance told me, as opposed to them sending a bill even though they said they did. They sent the (wrong) expensive bill like 3 times and even called me about it- I kept saying "you guys didn't apply the insurance and you said you would fix it." INSANE! So glad I didn't just blindly pay them. I would have overpaid by so much! When I called asking after they said they would fix it they told me it could be a while, and said sometimes a year or more. I had 4, sort of (my OB was paid in advance.) I had one for LO from the hospital for nursery, labs, exams, and drugs, one for the pediatrician who saw her (at the hospital, but non hospital for the bill), hospital stuff (labs, drugs, room, etc) for me, and then of course the OB was paid in advance. I am SO hoping they don't randomly send another bill late, I've heard from lots of people that that happens. Everything our insurance sent us we've paid off though so I'm hoping this is it. We had 4 total- my OB was paid upfront and then we had 2 for me and 2 for LO. So glad I stayed on top of them- I called today because we got the confirmation from insurance of this last one more than a month ago, and I never got the bill. They claimed they had sent it but we never got it (and I'm SUPER organized and work from home- so yeah, we NEVER got it.) Felt great to say WELL I WANT TO PAY IT OFF PLEASE! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now just to pay off the car... and credit cards... and student loans... blerg!
