The local foundation that runs a monthly support group I attend did a small candelight vigil last night and we read our babies names and shared stories. My husband and I plan on attending the hospital's memorial service at the end of the month.

I wish there was something here. My town is plenty big enough but I can't find any information on any event.

You are strong whether or not you share your story at the vigil! I don't think I'm doing anything publicly, just privately remembering.

I am making a blanket for a friend's rainbow baby due in a few weeks. She is doing a capture your grief, 31 day blog posting for her little guy and her network of loss Mom's have been doing some pretty incredible things that I have seen via IG and facebook. Her son's 1st bday was last month so we did a few things then to celebrate and remember him.

There's a pretty good PAIL network in our area and they have an event on the 15th.

@catlady: I hope you make it through October without fanfare or birth! When you've traveled the multiple loss road, there are so many dates to fill a calendar. Hope all is well with your pregnancy!

I'm not sure yet. This is a weird month for me. The last five years of Octobers for me have brought: miscarriage, LO1's birth, nothing, miscarriage, and now pregnancy again. I am actually a bit nervous that LO2 will arrive early since I have never actually made it all the way through October with a pregnancy (My brain knows this is silly though!). I may simply post something brief on Facebook. Most people I know in real life don't actually know about our losses (or at most, they know about one), but they have been a significant part of our journey.

@winniebee: That is so wonderful that your hospital does a vigil like that. Hugs.

@winniebee: Hugs  What a great way to acknowledge your loss and show remembrance of Dylan.

We announced our rainbow baby yesterday and got a lot of support.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Month. Will you be doing anything in particular to remember a pregnancy or infant loss?

My local hospital hosts a candle light vigil on 10/15 for anyone who has suffered a pregnancy or infant loss. My husband and I will be going and lighting a candle for our son Dylan. The hospital reads the names of all of the babies who have passed away. People share stories as well. I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to speak publicly about our loss, but hoping I might be able to do it.
