@JMOM: @Dandelion: @Mrs. Tiger: the dr called back and said it was completely normal. She said it was highly unlikely that i tore any internal stitches but was concerned about possible incision infection. We walked through some questions and determined that I don't show any signs of infection, so the burning sensation was most likely my muscles stretching. I haven't felt that burning sensation all day, so who knows :-)

It might be a fluid pocket. Hopefully your dr can figure it out!

I had a lot of pain after my 2nd c-section, I don't remember if it was burning. I talked to my doc and she changed my pain medication and said I could wear a binder (I got mine from Motherhood Maternity) and it really helped. I also had 2 abdominal surgeries last year and I had a lot of burning with those - wore a binder again and it really made a difference.

I'm glad you called the doc, I did not experience that! I just had blunt/dull pain for a while and difficulty moving around. Hope it's nothing!

I had a c-section on Monday (it's now Saturday) and have been taking my meds as prescribed. This morning as I was getting out of bed, I felt a burning in my abdomen, a few inches above my incision on the right hand side.

Call is in to the dr, but is this normal???
