I ended up wearing braces on both of my wrists for the last three months. They were annoying but helped a lot! I also considered using compression bands for my forearms, but I never ended up using them. It also came with arthritis-like pain and weakness in my hands. I had a hard time making fine motor grabs (like a pincer grasp) and I had to have Hubs open jars and stuff. A brace and sleeping with my arm totally extended (not bent at all) helped. I wore wrist braces every night to bed. It's back again this pregnancy, again at 16 weeks. I have it in both hands. Two nights ago I started noticing some swelling in my legs too, which I didn't get with DS. Have you reduced the sodium in your diet? I'm guessing you are retaining water which can be so painful! I had this in my feet/legs with my first pregnancy. Particularly my left hand now, is painful all night long. I can't bend it, grip with it etc. and it throbs and tingles. After about an hour, upon waking, it starts to go down and just tingle for a while. Both hands are somewhat weak all day though. My blood pressure has been normal all throughout (110/70) and no protein in my urine. Anyone else have something like this? Should I be concerned? I mentioned it to the doctor the last two times and she said since my blood pressure was ok, she wasn't worried. But has gotten so much worse.
