I'd keep the brick as is and do darker colors to coordinate, maybe a warm dark blue or grey? As nice as it's look, painting the brick would just be more maintenance and not worth it imo.

I really like what@BadgerMom: posted!

I would paint all of the brick white and go with a beige/light trim instead! Would that work in your neighborhood?

I also like the idea of a darker color and not painting the brick. What about dark green? You’ve got lots of nice trees that it would blend with.

It looks like you’ve got a brown roof so I’d stick with a warm color pallet. A light cream on all of the areas that are currently white and then a midrange taupe on all the brown Tudor trim, cedar shake, and brick. And then a punchy front door.

Something like these pictures below but a little more beige than gray for the trim color.

Just did a quick google search, maybe something along either of these images to modernize the look?

I'm with you, I would stick with the brown, and just do a darker color so it's not so much contrast between the trim, brick, and paint. Also, I would not paint the brick, but that's just me. I'm not a fan of painting brick.

I'm basic but would do white. YHL had lots of posts about painting their brick house white (with specifics about paint type) back when they lived in Richmond. You could do a light gray beam for subtle contrast

Congrats on the new home!! It's lovely:)

We are having our house painted soon and I’m really struggling. Our house is Tudor style, and I don’t really love Tudor style... I don’t love the high contrast colors, or the wide trim. And the front has a TON of brick. The back has no brick. Suggestions? Ideas? I am feeling like we need to stick in the brown palate, but just no idea really. (The photo of our back is from when we bought it—the white lattice isn’t in the windows anymore.)
