thanks ladies, I have next week off work so a few days with the doors and windows flung wide open should do the trick now I hope :)

I think now that it's warmer and you can keep the windows open it should be okay. You could put a Fan in the window to suck out the fumes!

I think if you can get your windows open for a while, you should be okay. We used regular paint on the walls of M's room and the smell went away.

We did a lot of wood staining in our house recently and that is oil based. i was in the first tri so it really made me nauseous. I found that burning high quality candles and keeping windows open helped it dissipate in a few days.

Maybe temporarily move the cupboard (if it's movable) into another space? Figure out a daily or every other day use. Hopefully the smell will wear off with use!

Just leave the windows open and youll be fine. The problem is the room has been closed up, so of course youre going to still have a paint smell. The fumes have had no way to escape.

Our LO is due in September, so DH and I decided to paint the nursery over Easter so the room would have plenty (yes, months!) of time to 'air' before we want to put a baby in there...

fast-forward to now, and the room still smells of paint! We used a low-VOC paint on the walls... BUT I have used a less 'friendly' paint to makeover a cupboard in there, and I think that's what still smells fumy. I'm keeping the window and door open as often as possible, and we obviously still have around 3 months left so hopefully I am worrying over nothing, but just wondered what you guys all think?
