@RonjaL7: That's so cool! I should do that with our cozy coupe - paint it to match my parents' golf cart! Like I need another project...

My mom did an amazing job painting those Little Tikes cars. She used Rustoleum spray paint.

You can buy spray paint that is made for painting plastic. When I worked at a preschool we used it when older outdoor items were donated - little tykes playhouse type things. It always held up really well. I've never used it for an indoor item though.

I (well my dad) painted the ikea kitchen - we used spray paint, covered the counter in Marble contact paper and added bead board back splash. he also spray painted a couple of foldgers plastic coffee cans - they started peeling quickly. I think rustoleum has a line of spray paint just for that type of plastic

Our neighbor gave us their daughter's old play kitchen, which is super awesome. But it's the plastic kind and it's looking a little rough around the edges - fading plastic, some of the stickers are peeling, etc. I'm considering trying to paint it before Christmas. Has anyone successfully painted one of these (or similar plastic toy) before who could give me tips? I've read mixed results online, so I'm a little nervous to invest a ton of time and have it not work out in the long run. I have a very active 3.5yo and a needy 9mo, I WOH full time (including one weekend a month)... Am I nuts to try to tackle this in time for Christmas?
