I second the slaw suggestion, the pre-made kind from the grocery store works, mixed with olive oil and apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder.

Deviled eggs with avocado in place of mayo

Spicy cabbage salad (we have this all the time, it's great with different kinds of meats, almost anything really).

Zucchini or sweet potato hummus, with veggies for dipping

Guacamole with kale/sweet potato/spinach chips

Pesto marinated grilled jumbo-shrimp (leave out the cheese if uber-paleo)

I've got a great recipe for paleo vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting, but I don't know how well they would "sit out".

I also have a recipe for a paleo pound cake, but I haven't made it yet so can't verify taste. That would be good with fresh fruit.

You could just go simple and bring cut veggies, every picnic needs a veggie platter.

My gym is having a pool workout and potluck picnic this Saturday, and I need to bring some kind of dish to contribute. A lot of the people there try to follow a mainly paleo diet, and I'd like to bring a dish that's paleo-friendly, but most of the paleo recipes I know and use aren't really suited for sitting outside or in a cooler for a couple hours and then feeding thirty people.
Can anyone suggest a good picnic side for a large group that's both easy and paleo-friendly? I could always just grab some meat and marinate it overnight and bring it to toss on the grill, but I think there will be a lot of that anyways, and so I was hoping to do a side dish or even a dessert. Any suggestions?
