She said to always inquire to be extra sure but basically anything sold in mass here in the US is pasteurized even the soft cheeses...so they are A-okay! Some OB/REs are probably more conservative than others... but I'm pretty sure the CDC says pasteurized feta is ok for pregnant women. Died for it!) in my first tri and my OB got me all freaked out about listeria when I told her and I got sick one day (I never had m/s) and became convinced I had listeria. I went to the dr and asked to be tested for it and was basically there for like 2 hours bc no one there had EVER tested anyone for listeria do they didnt know HOW or where to send it out to! I saw a very busy 6 doc OB practice in the middle of a major city.
