Even for our wedding people were surprised we gave actual invites and were even more surprised to get written thank you cards. My circle of friends and family are very close and word of mouth is enough but I LOVE making them and they're so cute! I like to use Paperless Post for invites - have you tried them before? Sometimes there's a lot of backlash and people think it's too informal. If your friends/family aren't offended by an e-vite, I would go that route. I probably would, because I just don't have anywhere to plant. </p> <p>But I don't think invitations are that wasteful. You could do postcards or self mailers to save the extra envelope paper waste. But I think if you have a cute photo on it or something, some people will save it, and the rest will recycle. What do you guys think?
