I was the second time as well because I had a wedding to photograph at 37w3d. I basically tried to turn off my brain to the fact that I was having a baby until after that date because otherwise I was very nervous about the baby coming before then.

Yes and no? DS was an IUGR baby so I was induced. I currently have a placenta previa which may prevent a vaginal delivery if it doesn't resolve itself come delivery time. And I fear that DD may also be an IUGR baby. Since I was induced the 1st time, I have no idea what to expect if all goes well and I go into labor on my own.

@Ginabean3: My story is similar except my baby had 0 patience and came 24 hours even when they tried to stop labor. He's still strong willed so I'm not shocked he came on his own timeline. :). Glad to hear your success on shots! Hopefully I will have same results.

@BandDmommy: what happened to me was a slow leak and lots of contractions! Since it was so early and my first pregnancy (and since I had not yet discovered Hellobee haha) I was clueless to what was happening until my gut told me to get to the doctor. They were able to hold me off for 48 hrs for baby to get the steroid shots and then she came right after!

I had preterm labor with my first, so I was super worried about it the second time around. I had tons of early contracts and took it very easy in my 3rd tri....and then had to be induced at 38w for other reasons. Go figure!

@BandDmommy: yes I was on the shots until 35 weeks! I think it helped? Or maybe I just got lucky? The preterm labor the first time around was completely random and no explanation was ever found.

I'm more paranoid about it this time, too, for no real reason. If anything I should have been more paranoid last time...all of our McK nephews were at least 3 weeks early (one was 10 weeks early, but his mom had HELPP), but E was right on time. I've been having a lot more noticeable BH this time, though (I didn't really get any until the very end last time), and I've also hit the "Okay, done now" mental phase, so I think that's why...

@travellingbee: honestly, before this pregnancy we were almost positive we would stop at two, but open to the possibility of three. I loved being pregnant with my first. This time around, not sure I could do it! I'm so tired all the time and sooooo uncomfortable, and I only have one child to chase after

I am totally paranoid! I think because my last pregnancy I felt great the whole time and this time around I started to feel uncomfortable around 25 weeks. Now at 31 weeks I'm waddling, definitely have more pressure and just overall feel bad. My back was killing last night and I was convinced it was a labor sign. I think it's just harder on your body the second time around, especially when you're chasing a toddler!

I am just generally more terrified this time around...I dont know why...maybe I feel so fortunate to have such a happy healthy baby that I am worried I couldnt get lucky again? Maybe I am just much more aware of kids and issues they can have this time around? But I have major anxiety this go around...and I am only 23 weeks...ugh!

@Ginabean3: Were you on progesterone shots your 2nd pregnancy? My 1st pregnancy DS was born at 34 weeks, 2nd pregnancy DD was born at 36 weeks. I was on progesterone suppositories with DD and that's only way I made it to 36. My dr said the shots are WAY more effective than suppositories so I'm curious if I will make it past 36 weeks this time.

I'm not exactly paranoid about it but I will say that with this second pregnancy I feel a lot weirder and my body feels like I'm having end of pregnancy symptoms already at 32 weeks. It's very strange but sound normal, like every symptom just happens so much earlier the second time.

Me! :( With my first two pregnancies, I delivered at 38 weeks so I'm thinking this one will come early, too. Labor with my son was pretty fast, checked into the hospital around noon and delivered at 4:30, and I figure this one will be even faster. I already feel uncomfortable and that the baby is rather low and I'm only 27 weeks! My placenta is apparently low this time so that freaks me out a bit more. Ugh!

Last time I think I was pretty much laid back about when I would go into labor and have the baby- which was great since I went into labor two days before my due date.

This time, I'm really paranoid that I'm about to go into labor early. I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow so really, baby would be ok even if I did, but I don't have any risk factors or anything besides feeling "weird" and being more uncomfortable than last time. Plus I think baby went back to transverse.

Anyone else more paranoid the second time? Or if you did go into labor early, did you have any early signs?
