I have some younger immature FB friends with passive agressive updates about how they find baby (or wedding) updates annoying. They are still my friend, so I still want them as friends. I post a ton of pics on FB because my family is all in the US and it's the best way to keep people up to date. I post on my blog where I'm also pretty open. I don't post nudie pics (I've done some bath pics, but with a wash cloth over bits) and I try not to say stuff that would mortify my son when he's older.<br /> The way I see it, there's plenty of stuff to find on the internet and, right now, sharing my life necessarily entails sharing my son. I have to have a discussion with my aunt about re-sharing pictures of LO - she almost announced our pregnancy and the gender on facebook before I could (luckily, I remembered to tell her not to before she did) and she tends to reshare those kinds of things with her friends, most of whom I don't know and are people she went to high school with, etc. She already requested weekly photos and updates of the baby when she is little on facebook. I told her that weekly updates probably will not happen, but I will post some photos on there, and am open to emailing updates to friends and family members if they ask.</p> <p>I also have a blog where I have been sharing my pregnancy and other things. It's tricky because I want to share what we are doing, but I also want to protect my LO. I try to be really careful, because I share so much about our lives online (here and on my blog), and because my personal blog is connected to my full name as I run my freelance business online. I don't use the girls names anywhere (barely even on Facebook), usually just their first initials, and I don't post photos of my house exterior or even mention the name of my town very often. This seems overkill to some people, but it's my job to protect then, and I take it seriously.</p> <p>My mom never let us put our name on our clothes ( like on a backpack...not the tag) because she didn't want a stranger to be able to walk up to us and convince us that they knew us because they used our names. It's a similar mindset.</p> <p>I also never leave my kids in the car when I run errands, and I lock their window at night.
