Life with DD has been such a struggle lately, with daily full blown, screaming and kicking on the floor meltdowns. I worry about her attitude and being spoiled and entitled, as well as her emotional stability. And I worry about our relationship when she's older - I fear she's going to hate me as a teenager.

I'm worried that she'll be spoiled or have some attitude issues. She's already so sassy, and we're trying our best to parent through it...but I don't want a spoiled, entitled kid!
And I'm worried about something happening to baby2, even though I've had zero cause for concern this pregnancy.

@Mae: I worried about the same with my first one. Glad I'm not alone. I also worried about not using bottles fast enough before they spoiled. @Mrs. High Heels: yes water! My parents have a pool and pond. More worried with the pond because you can't see the bottom. We did survival lessons and he now can float. Will keep working on it.

My worries...
DD2 - putting something in her mouth that she could choke on. Just yesterday, she put a jelly bean and a peanut m&m in her mouth that DD1 dropped from her easter basket.

DD1 - I worry about furniture falling on her. Oh and she started swinging her body on the upstairs gate. Yikes.

DS - I worry about his attitude lol. I just want him to stop being defiant so he turns out okay!!

@regberadaisy: we always have our alarm system on for this reason!! DS opened the front door ran around our house when he was three and it was terrifying not being able to find him within less than a minute of him leaving.

Choking! My 10.5 month-old is a great eater, but she did choke on some cheerios the other day and it freaked me out! She's fine, but now I am super paranoid.

My current worry is mainly Xander climbing out of his crib in the middle of the night, climbing over the gate, and falling down the stairs! But I think the gate is taller than his crib so hopefully he can't climb over it even if he could climb out of his crib...

Lesser worries are with Xander's allergies (for now, while he's still in daycare) and asthma. And I worry about Logan having allergies and asthma too because he already seems like he's headed in that direction.

I'm usually not the worrying type, but these two things always raises my heart rate >> DS accidentally running out into the street and getting hit by a car. And I get nervous around bodies of water too - like the pool or ocean.

@charlotte: I think he'll be fine. My nephew is severely allergic to eggs and shellfish and has no real issues with being left out. That being said we just baked egg free cupcakes and brownies this weekend!
I'm actually going to bake the egg free cupcakes for DD's 3rd birthday for daycare! Just simply because I really like how moist and not sweet they are! Peanuts and tree nuts are such common allergies now.

I'm worried about allergies - when he leaves my bubble and goes to preschool and beyond will he be safe (peanut and treenut allergies). Will he feel left out and will the other families be supportive? I read an awful post somewhere the other day where parents were ranting that they couldn't bring cupcakes for their child's birthday because of all the allergies :bummed: he didn't choose to be born allergic! And figuring out the triggers for his eczema is a related but slightly less worrisome issue.

He is tall enough to unlock and open our doors now! And has obviously watched and figured it all out. Luckily still wants to be in his crib, otherwise I would be right there with you on the escape fears!

Peace of mind is worth something :)

I am not really worried about anything right now with LO. I guess the thing that is closest to worry is a sort of weariness over the transition from bottles to solid foods. I'm finding it challenging and having a hard time seeing a future in which she eats enough food to not give her bottles. But I try not to dwell on it because I think it will work itself out.... somehow.. lol

I'm worried this is going to happen in the summer. LO learned to open our sliding glass and screen door. I'm due in June so I'm going to be plenty distracted and she'll have ample opportunity to get out. I have to find a solution to keep the screen part closed when the glass is open.

What's something you're currently worried / paranoid about?

There's been so many stories this winter about toddlers opening the front door at night and leaving the house that I'm paranoid. My (almost) 3 year old has opened the front door twice to look for daddy. I'm paranoid about her opening the door in the middle of the night and walking out!

We're putting the baby gate back at the top of the stairs and a slide lock up very high on all four exterior doors!! It might be extreme but I'll sleep better at night since she comes out of her room constantly now.
