My first got sick for the first time at almost 9 months, then a series of sicknesses from 13 - 18 months, after I returned to work. We have until next winter to worry about 2 in daycare, tho! And it's definitely better in an in-home. But still. So many germs. She did get sick earlier as a baby (2 months whereas he first got sick at 9 months). But less sickness in general overall! That first year of daycare, it felt like he (and then I) was sick ALL THE TIME. Every week, it was something new, and I was sick so many times! I blew through my sick and vacation time because we were both so sick all the time! So I'm about to have baby #2 and I'm wondering... is it going to be the same?? I imagine that baby #2 will probably be sick all the time and go through all the same things that Xander did. But will I?? Or will my immune system be stronger from having already done this once and I won't get sick as much?? What was your experience like?
