I know a guy that's an identical twin and he had fraternal twins. The father cannot impact chances to have fraternal twins. Think about it this way - fraternal twins is two eggs, which means the mother hyper-ovulated. The father's sperm cannot affect how many eggs the mother ovulated to get pregnant. Identical twins are random, not genetic. I know of three cases of twins on my father's side from four and five generations ago. Other than that, no twins in my family.
