4.5 year old daughter and 20 month old son. Sibling issues might be a good board topic? Examples could include questions about bringing home a new baby, dealing with jealousy, regression?

I have a 19 month old and a 3 year old. 3 year old just started preschool and the whole process of choosing a school and preparing her for it was a pretty interesting journey. It would be great to see multiples covered as a topic (especially for multiples that are close in age (3 years apart or less) as there wasn't much helpful info out there about how to sleep train your new baby without disrupting your older one, how to figure out napping for two, etc.

Yay! Glad to see I'm not a complete loner 'round here, lol. And how cool is it to see so many WB-ers here?

Gah =/ I made a board about momma bee's with older kiddos before I came across this one, however my son is slightly younger still (elementary age). I have a 6 year old! He'll be 7 in December!

I have a 5 year old stepson, but that's still younger than you're talking about. It's definitely different than a toddler though! I think my nephew (7 y.o.) is actually going on 14 if that gives you any comfort ;) He's the most sullen little man you've ever met! He acts like a tween!!!

@MrBee - It would be awesome to have a step parents board!

We might extend the site beyond toddlers, but I don't think we'll ever make it all the way up to tweens?

That said, Bee started Weddingbee when we got married, and then Hellobee when she was pregnant. As Charlie and his sister get older, it's probably safe to say that we'll be creating more Busy Bee sites to cover the topics that come up in Casa Bee!!

Well, I suppose the topics could be covered under "general parenting", subtopic "older children", but similar to the way there are topics that are age-group specific to just babies (like monthly growth and development milestones, for example). Maybe things like, discipline and behavior, education, or even socializing for school age, etc. For instance, a thread titled "Is your tween giving you gray hair?" would be akin to "How are/did you survive the terrible twos?"

What kind of topics would you like to see covered for older kids?

Let us know what boards or categories you'd like to see and we will see what we can do. :-)

I realize most of HB is devoted to parents (and soon-to-be and hopeful parents) of babies and toddlers. But, I was wondering if there are any mommies and/or daddies on here that have older children. Specifically, school-age, tweens and up. I can't be the only one, right? Lol.

Also, to Mr. and Mrs. Bee: Do you think that if there were enough of a demand for it, there would be a section/board on Hellobee devoted to parents of older children? I realize the site is still in its infancy (pun intended!), but just wanted to inquire as to if you guys had any intent to expand the boards in the future to beyond just the babies age group? Again, this is assuming there is a demand for it, eventually, if at all........

P.S. Loving the site thus far!
