When my LO was younger, we ate after we put him to bed. Which meant we would eat dinner at like 8 or 8:30p. :( But now that he's a toddler, we're trying to have dinner time as a family so we eat together at around 7:30 (after my husband comes home). Unfortunately this means my son goes to bed later (9pm) but it's what works for us right now. Otherwise we would never get to eat as a family and I think that's important.

We eat after LO goes to bed, which is around 6:30pm. But when she was younger, we ate whenever we could.

We start our baby's bedtime routine around 6:45, and she goes to bed sometime between 7 and 8, depending on the day. That means that DH and I have to choose whether to eat dinner before or after her bedtime. Usually we end up cooking dinner and eating after DD goes to bed, but that often means that we don't eat dinner until 8:30 or 9 PM.

When do you eat dinner, and how do you work it around your child's bedtime?
