But it was really hard to figure out what the heck to talk to a newborn about, so for a long time (6 months or so), at home, I mostly sang songs I knew the words to. Not that anyone would want to hear me sing (not even my baby, I'm sure)-- but heck, it was one way to keep me saying things to him. If anybody is going to understand what I am saying less, it's them. But I have always been of the belief, and will be once DD is here, that it is never too early to start to really talk to babies. How else are they going to learn and develop a language? </p>
