We haven't started up yet, but our daycare does 2, 3 or 5 days in the infant room. We'll be doing 3 days. We have to pay by 5pm on Mondays even if she's not in the room on Monday that week. Our place is great about being flexible with our schedule since some weeks we have to change which 3 days she'll be there.

Let me just tell you, this has been VERY hard to find. I could write a book about it. Anyways, Right now I have her in a licensed daycare two days a week, $35/day. So I pay $70 a week no matter what, if she is there more, I pay $5 an hour.

We have a very similar set-up to @808love. LO is in a home day care that is going through the licensing process. They have a camera so that I can check in throughout the day. We use it for 4 days a week at $35 a day. Although the available hours are 7-6, LO is normally there 10-4, somedays 11-4:30. She's been there since she was 7 weeks old. The lady's kids adore our LO and LO seems happy there.

We are doing part time through my work, and its $25 daily. If you're not there, you don't pay unless you signed up for a day in advance and don't show up. You fill out your days a week in advance.

My son is in daycare 3 days a week (Wed thru Friday). We commit to those 3 days and tuition is $300/week. Hours are 7-6 and it doesn't matter how long he is there - price is the same. We pay regardless of whether he is there (ie, if sick or if we are on vacation).

most likely 3-4 full days as an infant. The day care we're looking at you must send a minimum of 3 days per week. the other days we're hoping to get family coverage. my MIL volunteered one day a week

When LO starts preschool it will be part time. I'm not sure when that will be though, she's 20 months now so no earlier then 3 years. You can go for two days a week, and they have the option for how long you want to stay throughout the day. Just the morning, throughout the afternoon, or the full day. It says on their website that they break it into 10 payments throughout the year.

Before I decided to stay at home, we had daycare set up for 3 days a week (7a-5:30p). We looked at a lot of places, but only a few would take an infant part time.

We are doing 3 days a week full time but our centre offers half day sessions (07.30-1 pm or 12pm - 6.30pm) which are charged at about 65% of the full day rate.

When LO was 6 mos to 2 years we started her part time 2 days a week from 9:30 to 2:30. We paid $30 a day. We were allowed to drop off earlier and pick up later for a full day at the same price but we did it around our work schedule to have max baby time! Our daycare provider was in her home and she wasn't licensed yet.
