@LulaBee: Yeah, they told me to take it easy. At first I did nothing for two days, then once the bleeding stopped I did normal things, just tried to sit more and lift less. It's hard, though, especially with a toddler.

I was just diagnosed with a placental abruption yesterday at 15 weeks. I'm super scared! Glad you had a success story @runnerd: - I have also not been able to find any info about early abruptions. I go back to high risk doctor next Monday, hopefully it will heal itself.

@mrs. tictactoe: Hope things are going well for you! Have you been told not to lift anything, exercise, etc?

@mrs. tictactoe: well I had bleeding the whole first tri that was unexplained, then around 13.5 weeks I had an incident that I went to ER over, and that's when the found the separation. All bleeding stopped by 15 weeks but OB was great about being cautious and had me see the specialist since I was still bleeding when I entered the second tri

@runnerd: how long did you bleed? My dr didn't say anything about a specialist. I'm going to call and ask about that on Monday.

@mrs. tictactoe: I'm sorry you are having to deal with that!! It definitely had me on edge for weeks. My bleeding stopped around 15 weeks and placenta separation didn't get worse, and specialist monitored babies growth for the rest of my pregnancy. LO was born healthy, but on smaller side at 6.5lb which suspected due to weak placenta. Let me know if you have any other questions!!!

I have a partial abruption. Just started bleeding yesterday afternoon, went to the doctor, baby is fine, but I did see the small separation. I'm scared! What ended up happening with you @runnerd: ?

Thanks ladies! It's super frustrating bc I can find little to no information on small early separations, and the doctor says I still have 90% chance of no complications, but I'd just be nice if I could find some articles or support boards to read experiences :/

Was anyone diagnosed with a partial placental abruption/separation early in pregnancy? I'm 15w3d, and have a spot about 1in x .5in that will be monitored by specialist bc it may be a separation. The specialist wasn't 100% sure it is one, but is treating as one bc I had a bleeding incident 1.5 weeks ago.

If anyone had this experience, please share!

(Baby is 100% ok at this point!)
