@T.H.O.U.: 5-10ish I think... depends on if one of the families comes or not (they have 5).

@cmomma17: Just wanted to come back & tell you I found an AWESOME batman scavenger hunt clues/items! DH even thought it was awesome! =)

How many kids are you talking?

You could do all kinds of blindfold activities too.

@cmomma17: I think that'd be so fun too! I love games like that (who cares if they don't right? lol)

@runsyellowlites: contests are always fun! :) something timed, so the kids who aren't into it won't get bored. Maybe build a batmobile or something like that? Have a small door prize (maybe one of the capes/masks you were thinking of making).

Are they too young for batman trivia? That's something easy and indoor-friendly. Make DH ask the kids to answer questions about "himself" (dressed as batman)

@cmomma17: Oh.. I should mention that space to set up a craft is pretty much non existent... Well I guess I could get an extra table & set it up outside? Hmmm.... I know quite a few of the boys coming would have no interest in a craft, but there might be a couple!

ETA: Oh duh! Maybe just a lego table set up outside... maybe themed building & have a contest? hmmmm *more thinking*

Since it's Lego Batman, you should definitely have a Lego station set up somewhere (just a small table) for anyone in the mood to build!

Some kind of bean bag toss game? Simple to customize to a theme and boys love throwing things!
If you do capes or masks, they could customize them. Lots of boys do like being crafty.
The scavenger hunt is a great idea and could take up a good chunk of time. I did a scavenger hunt for my nephew whe. He turned 10 and it was a huge hit (just him solo though, not a party).

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Ooooh I think a scavenger hunt sounds much more age appropriate! It's a bunch of boys so I don't think the majority of them would like crafting anything though. lol

I might give an activity booklet as a favor (thanks for the idea).. but something where they can be active I think they'd prefer for activity..... Last year we had a starwars party so they spent their time fighting each other with diy light sabers (easiest party activity ever. lol)

What about an activity booklet that at the end finds the Joker? 3 pages of puzzles, mazes, and word games. Or just one long, super long maze on the table the kids can color in or make that into a place mat. Or a scavenger hunt.

Other activities: photo booth backdrop with lego skyline. Signs like Bam!
Lego skyline centerpiece the kids can help create- craft, then push to the center to I msje the centerpiece/ tablescape.

G's birthday is quickly approaching & I'm a tad stuck on what we can have the kids do... the ages will range from 5-10 and the theme is lego Batman. The invite specifically talks about catching the Joker and DH is dressing like Batman (he went all out) and G wanted to be the Joker.

It'll be the end of August here in Texas so doing alot outside isn't ideal... we also have a tiny tiny 900 sq ft house. We do have a nice shaded area right off the back porch that I *think* we could set some activities up though....

I thought that *maybe* setting up an obstacle course type thing that DH could take the kids through to try & "catch" G (the Joker) would be something and DH suggested doing face painting, making the kids into different batman heroes, really just robin, & villains (I was already planning on making masks & capes but I could scratch that) and then there is always the Batman movies & lego batman video game.

I'm just not sure if something like an obstacle course would be appealing to older school aged kids, I always see them on preschool age kids parties.

Thoughts?
