We're giving out little truck board books that were $1 each at Target for LO's 1st bday party, along with bubbles (I think were $0.33 each at Target). Went to a 1st birthday party where they gave socks, which was useful (and all the kids were young so no one was disappointed), and also had a candy bar like what you see at showers/weddings. Generally I'm a huge fan of anything edible or books.
