That said, I love the suggestion of giving everyone a book, or a discrete consumable.</p> <p>For an animal-themed party, what about one of those little boxes of animal crackers for each kid? Last year i got lucky and the scholastic book flyer from preschool had a $1 special that fit the theme (curious George book for a monkey party). I gave each kid a book on the way out. </p> <p>But my kids do love the junk.
