I'd guess 2 pieces per adult and one per kid.

I would think of your pizza as a snack. 4 Of the 20" pies should be enough to hold people over until they eat dinner. Plus you have cake and a fruit & veggie tray. I'd personally rather bring home extra fruit & veggies than cold pizza.

We had about 25 people at a pizza party recently and I ordered 8 pizzas. It was way too many. And ours was at lunch time which yours isn't. I would do more than 4 though - 6 sounds good to me but you'll probably be okay with 5.

This pizza place cuts in squares if that makes any difference. The pizzas could be either 16" or 20" too.

I had originally thought 5 but then my husband convinced me that would be too much.

Five it is then!!!

It sounds reasonable to me. 4 pizzas is just a smudge under 1/4 pizza per person, plus cake, fruit, and veggies, in the middle of the afternoon. That seems like plenty to me.

I think I'd order 6 pizzas.

So you're just ordering pizzas for the adults? I'd probably order at least 5 pizzas for the adults - I usually assume each adult will eat two slices, so that'd be 5 pizzas by itself, and it'd be nice to have some extra left over for the kids if they're just assuming one slice per kid. If they don't eat until 3:30 or so, and have been running around and jumping for an hour and a half, I'd assume the kids would be extra hungry too.

4 pies would be about 32 slices. So 1 per child and 1 per adult. That doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room if someone wants 2 slices.

I order the pizza for our photoshoots and I usually use this formula
# of people x 2 then divide by 8 and round up which would be 8 pies... since you have a lot of young kids maybe x 1.5 which would be 6 pies.

you can also ask the pizza shop to cut the slices in half on some of the pies so you get 16 mini slices

I’m finishing up my 4 yo’s birthday party arrangements and can’t decide how many pizzas to order. There will be 11 kids (ages 1.5-10) and probably 18 adults. The party is from 2 – 4pm on a Sunday, so it’s kind of an odd time for a meal. Also, it’s at a trampoline/bouncy/go cart-type place and I think they plan the food to arrive later in the two hour timeframe, so it’s not like it’s going to be a leisurely meal either.

The kids' pizza is included with the party package and I believe they figure one piece per child. The extra pizzas I order would be for the adults.

You are allowed to bring a fruit and veggie tray, but no other outside food is allowed. I plan to bring both just so there is a bit of variety and something for people to munch on before the pizza arrives. Cake will be a Costco sheet cake.

I’m thinking 4 pizzas (large, thin crust). Does this sound reasonable???

Of course I’d rather have too much food than not enough.
