@buttermilk: I got some Wilton ones and thought they would do the trick. Would look for grease proof, thanks!

@Torchwood: I agree! You can't get the crease to line up!

@Foodnerd81: Hahha DH is building a Firepit for our backyard and its "almost" done. My supermarket also had enermous marshmallows on sale this week. Those suckers are the size of my fist!!

@regberadaisy: I really want s'mores now. I would choose that over cupcakes (which I also love) any day.
I don't think you need one cupcake per guest but probably 3/4 or so just in case.

@regberadaisy: Greaseproof liners are great! I get them at a local baking store. Also, some bloggers add a second liner after they come out of the oven, but I've never been pleased with how that looks.

As for the original question, I tend to do way too much of everything, but overall I agree with @buttermilk.

@regberadaisy: yeah I hate that too, you gotta look for better quality liners. Either Reynolds brand or search online for greaseproof liners.

I think a s'mores bar and cookies sounds like more than enough!

@buttermilk: cupcake question. Whenever I bake cupcakes in paper liners they always get wet and greasy. They're never dry and pretty looking like blog pictures. LOL what am I doing wrong? Do I need to buy better liners? I tried doubling up but then the liner doesn't stay together perfectly.

Everyone doesn't need to have one of everything, but I would probably instead make sure everyone has a cupcake, (as the main dessert) and then just as much of the other sweets as you feel like making. Just my thoughts!

If I'm having a s'mores bar and cookies, do you think I still need to have a (mini) cupcake for each guest?
