@Mrs. High Heels: Now that I'm remembering correctly, it was actually the pricing that got me. I really needed an app that would work on both my laptop and on my phone. I knew that I would be doing the bulk of inputting account info through my laptop - the idea of doing it on my phone was excruciating!

But the desktop application for 1Password is $50 after the 30-day trial. Add in the $10 for the mobile app, and I just couldn't pull the trigger.

Of course, it's important to remember that LastPass is a subscription, whereas 1Password is a one-time fee. So if you use the apps for 5 years, the cost ends up being the same. If you use the apps for longer than that, 1Password comes out cheaper.

This thread was what I needed to get going on something like this. After some research, I am going to try 1Password. I was debating between that and LastPass, but I like that 1Password syncs with Dropbox.

I did a lot of research on this recently. I ended up using LastPass. I went ahead and coughed up the $12 for the yearly fee so I could have it on my phone.

I needed a MUCH stronger password for accounts linked to my credit cards, and there was just no other way to remember them between devices.

I tried 1Password, but I didn't like the interface.

LastPass did get hacked, but the data that got stolen did not include stored passwords for other sites AND the data that got stolen was encrypted. So I felt pretty okay with using them.

I use Dashlane but if you want passwords to be shared between multiple devices, you have to pay a yearly fee $39.

I'm reluctant in paying for that fee and heard Lastpass is a good alternative. (If you want Lastpass on your phone, you have to pay for $12 yearly fee.) I guess I heard about Lastpass being hacked recently and that scared me from switching. (I know it's only time before Dashlane will be hacked, too)

I think I might just bite the bullet and pay for the yearly fee. It's $3 a month to give me the convenience of knowing my passwords across all devices.

Found this April 2016 review...
http://www.asecurelife.com/dashlane-vs-lastpass-vs-1password-vs-roboform-vs-keepass/

ETA: I found this discount code to get $20 off Dashlane premium for you and a friend. You have to be a new user. https://www.dashlane.com/nytm

I am starting to have a hard time keeping track of all my passwords for various websites, work stuff, etc. It seems like EVERYTHING requires a password these days, and the passwords are getting more and more complicated, and my brain is getting slower and slower, ha! I've heard about password storage apps like Dashlane and LastPass. Curious if anyone here uses one and what their thoughts are?
