@TiredmommaMD: That's how my successful induction started! Honestly, it really sucked, but a lot less than a csection would have. Good luck!

@shellio: Checked in for induction today. Still zero cm but they were able to get a catheter in, so now just waiting and hoping. Thanks for checking in.

@Ash: My doc will induce but not until 41 weeks. However if I am not at all dilated at induction, the odds of it being successful are much lower

@rockies11: So sorry to hear you had such a terrible experience. Hope things are well now.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I have had painful contractions (not regular though) for the last week so I thought for sure I would have at least some progress.

Awwww no success story but I'm rooting for you! I really wanted a VBAC with #2 too but threw in the towel at 40 weeks. I never had them check me though, so I don't know if I ever dilated or not.

Not a vbac story here but just wanted to give you some hope that your water could break and things could change very quickly! I was a 0 at my 39w appointment, no progress whatsoever. A couple days later I stood up from blow drying my hair and boom - water broke. Went to the hospital and was a 6. Fingers crossed for you! Come on out little one!!

I do! I just had a VBAC. I was 0 cms at 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 weeks. Every single appointment they would have to stick their whole arms in their to find my cervix because it was still so high, and then they would tell me it was a 0 and I would leave and cry in my car. I did everything I could to get things moving, and they never did. They did a Foley catheter induction at 41 weeks because they didn't want me to go past 41 weeks. They had a heck of a time getting it in, and it essentially also failed to dialate my stubborn cervix, but they were able to dialate enough to break my water and get labour going! The whole thing took 3 days, and my labour and delivery was awful, and I had postpartum complications so overall it was a terrible experience, but it was a successful VBAC post dates with 0 cms at 41 weeks!

Oh no, I'm so so sorry. I was in your position last summer but I was dilated some and effaced. But I was stuck in the same spot for like 3 weeks. In August. Hope things start moving soon for you! Go to the mall and go shopping! I did a TON of walking in that last week!

Just came from my appointment, currently 40w3d, I am still not dilated at all. Was hoping for a VBAC which seems like such a long shot now. Also so tired of being pregnant. It is SO hot and being pregnant being pregnant is so much harder with a toddler to chase after. I wanted to wait until 41 weeks before throwing in the towel for VBAC, but I am just so discouraged after hearing that I haven't made any progress at all. Anyone have a successful post-dates VBAC story for me?
