Tonight the kids just haven't been listening, and my patience has been at an all-time low! Maybe it's because they're jetlagged, but the evenings have been so painful since we got back from our trip to LA!!

I felt like I was about to blow, so I told my son that I wanted him to go to his room and think long and hard about why he has been so naughty tonight. Well he surprised me by disappearing to his room and then reappearing a few minutes later, saying, "Ok dad, I'm done thinking now. I think I should listen more."

Wth?! Haha if I knew that would work, I would've tried that line much earlier! He is listening for now again... but we'll see how long it lasts. I hope it lasts til bedtime, because my patience is at an all-time low!

How's your patience when the kids aren't listening?
