We ate dinner on the back deck of a local bar and grille. Sitting not too far from us was a couple with a 7 month old girl. Her mother and I kept sneaking glances at each other's baby, lol. </p> <p>Anyway, they left before we did, and stopped by our table on their way out. Small talk about the kids names and ages, etc. and then they left. A bit later we asked for our check and were told by the waitress that the couple had paid for our dinner, and to tell us that they remembered how overwhelming the first few weeks are and how exciting it was the first time they took the baby out to dinner. </p> <p>It took us several months but we eventually found ourselves in a similar position...sneaking glances at a young couple with a newborn out to eat. The mother looked so stressed out every time the baby cried out. I know it's tough to do for everyone, involving some money and we live in such a fast-paced world.</p> <p>I was at a local pub tonight on my own - DH went out with a friend and I did not want to cook. I went to have some dinner and watch the hockey game, and thought, "Today, I am going to pay it forward." I picked up the bill for the two guys sitting next to me at the bar, and told them that their dinner was paid for and to enjoy the game as I walked out.</p> <p>Have you done anything lately to pay it forward? </p>
