@Mrs. Oreo: I hear ya!

@KayKay: This is what I did in high school, and never had any issues. The running and yoga part, not pregnancies!

@Madison43: That's good to hear! I will look more into macros.

@Mamaof2: Thanks! It reminds me of paleo, which I'm also considering trying again.

@dc yoga bee: I don't have PCOS but I did just start the Keto diet and have been reading up on it - seems like a great thing for those with PCOS

The thing that has worked best for me is tracking my macros and switching from a cardio heavy workout to a weight training based workout. I only work out 2 x/week with a trainer for 30 mins and do 1 spin class on the weekend. Working out this way totally changed my body composition and I have muscle definition for the first time in my life. I started tracking macros 3 monthly months ago and have lost 15 lbs pretty easily.

I mostly run w/ a little yoga mixed in. I have atypical PCOS, with the only noticeable symptom being infrequent AF/anovulatory cycles.

Both times that I have gotten pregnant naturally have been when I'm in my "best" shape (running more mileage, lowest bodyweight even though I'm generally lean anyways). Could just be coincidental, though!

Following because I also am newly diagnosed with PCOS and also trying to cut carbs and exercise more. 😊

ETA: I have been doing BeachBody on Demand on and off. Trying to be more consistent!

So, after two years of symptoms, bloodwork, cysts on ovaries, and the whole 9 yards, I finally got a PCOS diagnosis today. It's kind of bittersweet. I don't want to have a medical condition, but it's nice to know what is going on. I workout 5x a week with a pure barre membership, and a treadmill. I already have overhelauled my eating, and will continue to cut carbs. But, I need to do more cardio. I know everyone is different, I'm just curious what works for others. How often do you workout, what's your exercise of choice, and does it help you keep your symptoms in check?
