They sent me to another one because hey had no more beds. I was glad though, the one they sent me to was way nicer than my original one so it was a bonus. They weren't busy at all I had a double room all to myself. My friend had her baby 9 months after Irene hit and her birthing classes were the largest her instructor had ever seen, all due within a week or so of each other! In the US, July, August and September are the busiest months, but in Europe, births tend to peak earlier in the spring. At the hospital I work the last couple of months have been crazy. They have been delivering in traige rooms. They were almost at the point of defering patients to other hospitals (hospitlas rarely do this to avoid losing money). The maternity ward was so festive though, lights and decorations, and they brought me hot apple cider and cocoa. They also sent DS home with a stocking. When I went in for my non-stress test a couple of weeks ago, they put me in a recovery bed that they've NEVER used because things were so busy there that day. And my doc was irritated that I was there because he was so slammed with deliveries. They said things slow down in November...and I was glad to hear it! </p> <p>The hospital I'm delivering at is so popular regardless.
