Her son is now 10 years old and has no nut allergies at all. I think it's pretty much luck of the draw. I stopped eating all nuts with this pregnancy as soon as I found out about her allergy but I had already had some. We'll see if I was able to do anything in avoiding an allergy for DD #2. And we have no other nut allergies in our family so<br /> don't believe what the doctors say about family medical histories. They say you don't get a specific allergy from your parents but rather the tendency to have food allergies. I'm absolutely sure that's the real reason I have them! I did have peanuts while PG with her... Didn't think it would ever happen to me but it did :-(. With DS I tried to avoid peanut but I don't think I did completely.
