I'm not much help... We had to take both of our girls to the pediatric orthopedist when they were just a few weeks old. One for her hips, and one for her foot.

Not for that exact problem. But we did have to take DD to an orthopedist because her feet were slightly turned in. The pediatrician noticed it at her 2 month appointment. She wore special shoes for about 5 months and then was all better!

Hopefully they will have a quick and easy fix for you too! Good luck!

Have any of you ever taken your LO to a pediatric ortho?

Since birth the fourth toe on her left foot has slightly folded under her third toe. LO turned two about two weeks ago, and we had her 2 years appt today. I mentioned that the folding under is more prominent and that her pinkie toe is starting to shift now too.

Her doc recommended we see a pediatric ortho to have them take a look. Our previous ped thought that we wouldn't need any changes, but this one thinks that since things are shifting, we may need to pursue treatment. If so, that could start as early as her next birthday.

We have an appt at the end of the month, but I thought I'd ask if anybody else has been through this too.
