Do you have a CVS or Walgreens near you? I would pop into one of those and if there is no line, get them to give it. That way you don't have to wait around sickies. :)

She's not in daycare since I'm a SAHM so I guess I'll just discuss it with DH later. I'm not even sure if flu season lasts that much longer.

If you're LO isn't in daycare, the flu shot honestly isn't super necessary. We declined it altogether because my ped told us that.

C is fully vaxxed other than that, so it's not like I have problems giving her shots.

I guess I feel like it's different because at the pediatrician there are two waiting rooms but also, they usually take us back within a few minutes. DH said at the drugstores near us, they have really small waiting rooms and sometimes you have to wait a while. I guess I could try to make her an appointment for the CVS up the street. She's already had her initial flu shot, it's just the booster that he recommended that she'd be getting.

I think there was likely to be germs at the peds office too. If you feel strongly about the flu vaccine then I would go and get it. Call ahead before you go to make sure they have some left in stock.

I personally have a different opinion on the flu vaccine so I wouldn't take LO to get it, but that is more because of my feelings on the shot than taking them some place else.

I got my shot at the drugstore and there was no line at all! There were a lot fewer sick people than at the doctor's office, where everyone seems to have the flu these days yikes!!

LO had her flu shot at her six month appointment back in January. We were told to call in a month to get the flu booster shot. I just called and they said they no longer give it out and they referred me to the health department. I think there are a few drugstores nearby that give it out too.

The thing that makes me nervous is that if I take LO to one of these places, we may be in a waiting room with a bunch of sick people who may have the flu. So do I skip the booster to avoid her being in a waiting room full of potentially sick people? Do I risk it? What would you do?
