I've had my share of those and it's different. After an epidural, the only thing is it might take a while for you to feel like you have to pee. So you may think you don't have to go, but it's probably a good idea to sit on the toilet for a bit with running water and try to go a few hours after, especially since you've had IV fluids running. Your nurse should help you with this. It's really not a horrible experience. It helped dilute the urine so the ammonia didn't burn the tear.
