@littlebug: that sounds like Puppy Stretch; like an easier Downward Dog. I love this pose!
@travellingbee: I've been having this pain/issue since 24 weeks & I had it at the very end of my first pregnancy too. My midwife said all the relaxin hormone loosened everything so much that my pelvis keeps falling out of alignment. I see a chiropractor & that helps a lot! For short term, since you're nearly there, I'd suggest keeping your legs closed as much as possible when you get out of bed, get up, get in/out of the car, or change positions. Experiment with pillows between your legs to find a good combination and move very slowly in bed. Take Tylenol before bed. Don't try to power through the pain; if it hurts, stop & try to move a different way. An exercise ball is comfy for me for sitting.

@mrs.shinerbock: Hmm..yeah, you're right. I thought what he described was Child's Pose, but it's not quite as curled up as that. He said on your knees, butt in the air, with your elbows on the ground, head resting on your arms. He said it helps stretch the muscles out and eases the tension on your lower back. Plus, the gravity helps pull baby off the pelvic bone.

@travellingbee: Sitting on an exercise ball, especially right before going to bed, seems to help.

@littlebug: omg, there is no way in the world I could get into child's pose right now. Nor do I think I could get off the floor if I did get there.

@travellingbee: So I asked my OB about this this morning. I had read that physical therapy can help, but he told me that at this late in the game (36 weeks), therapy wouldn't really help. He suggested doing Child's Pose for 10-15 minutes 2 or 3 times a day.

@Worrywart: yeah my sweep worked with DS1 and I was only 1cm and 50% effaced with his head floating at that point. She feels like I'm so close to going into labor anyway that it is likely to work. But if not, induction is scheduled for Jan 4. (the following Monday)

@travellingbee: Yep Tuesday! They will do at 39 weeks since I've had a successful previous vaginal delivery. It also helps since my parents have to drive in from out of state to watch DD and we now live 40 minutes from the hospital. Hoping your sweep does the trick! It worked with DD. Went into labor with her that evening!!

@travellingbee: I'm right there with you! Just got back from my 38 wk appt and I told my OB it feels like a fork is poking me in my vajayjay all day long! This is brutal. I had nothing like this with DD. I can barely walk and I'm literally counting down the days. My induction is scheduled for Tuesday but I'm #4 on the wait list so hoping the three before me have their babies ASAP! The end is near my friend.

No suggestions but I feel your pain! I've been like this for several weeks. Getting out of bed is a painful process. The past few nights I took Tylenol and that seems to take the edge off. I didn't have this with my first!

@mrs.shinerbock: I know. Same with me. I've had so much more pain this time. For whatever reason today is the worst. I feel like I have a bowling ball about to fall out. It's killing me.

No. In fact I was just telling my NP yesterday that I don't remember being more than just slightly uncomfortable towards the end of my last pregnancy, but this one I have been absolutely miserable since 36 weeks. Pelvic pain, exhaustion, heartburn so bad that it's making me want to throw up, swelling in my feet - I'm so done this time.

This is my second and I am 38W2D. Bubs is sitting very low (she said -1 or -2). DS1 never dropped until labor so this sensation is new for me. I am in so much pain. I feel like some one punched me in my vajajay, my groin hurts horribly to move, I can't turn over in bed without wanting to cry out. Walking hurts terribly. And there is so much heaviness and pressure! Any suggestions for how to survive the next two weeks?!
