I'm having the same pain. It kills to stand up and sit down, and its really slowed my walking pace as well. I'm almost 34 weeks.

@BeachMama: I feel the same way! Especially the one leg thing (when I'm in the shower or putting pants on). I'm on 34 weeks, so I can only imagine it'll get worse!

I had a very similar situation at 39 weeks with my DD and 22 weeks this pregnancy. With DD she dropped at 36 weeks and was therefore sitting really low the remainder of the time. At 39w, she shifted onto a nerve which left me in severe pain from sitting, walking or rolling from side to side but only on the right side. I was induced at 39w7d and the pain went away 2w later.

This time, at 22w I felt like someone was stabbing/jack hammering my right pelvic bone. I went to the doctor who checked me and said that the baby was just sitting really low and was again on that nerve. I was told to take it easy (hard to do with a 2yo) and lay down as much as possible. I had recently bought an exercise ball and now switch between that and my desk chair at work which helps. I've also found it helps to wear shoes with good arch support and to avoid being barefoot or flip flops. When getting up, I usually stand up for a few minutes before walking and when putting on pants/shoes/etc sit down rather than trying to put one leg in then the other (same for getting in/out of the car-sit down then swing both legs in/out).

I do tend to have some ongoing hip numbness from falling off a horse in my teens which the doc thinks could attribute to who my pain is localized on the right side.

Sounds like groin pain. It is SO awful. I feel it most when the baby's head is down. At 38 weeks now, just getting out of bed or off the floor hurts so badly! I hear it goes away after labor. I know. That doesn't help at all. I can just say, I literally feel your pain.

I've had hip pain since about 20 weeks but this seems to feel different. I guess it feels more muscular and it's in the same area that I could feel her doing the check in. I'm not sure if it's related to the hip pain I've had for a while and it's just spreading further? It does seem to be better today so far though so hopefully that'll continue.

During pregnancy your body releases a hormone to relax all of your joints, so that during labor the baby can pass through the pelvis. It's very common to have pelvic soreness. I often felt like my pelvis was splitting apart (which it really kind of was). I had pain when standing or walking long periods, or changing positions in bed, or standing on one leg. There's not much you can do about it, other than staying off your feet when it hurts. You can also try a support belt to try to take some pressure off the pelvis.

I'm just starting to post instead of just stalking threads so I'll give a little bit of information to help with my question. I'm 33 weeks 2 days along today with a baby girl that's sitting pretty low and measuring a week ahead (in the 77th percentile).

I went to the doctor last Thursday for my normal checkup and told her I felt like the baby was right there and really low. She wanted to do a check to make sure I wasn't already dilating or effacing. She said the baby is low but everything is still closed. It was uncomfortable when she did the exam and hurt a little bit. I had no spotting but about an hour or two later I started to feel sore.

I've only felt sore when moving, it's not a constant thing, but sometimes it makes it really uncomfortable to stand up or switch sides while sleeping. It seems like a constant soreness in my pelvic region. Could this still be from the check? I've also had to run to the restroom more lately so could she have dropped? She's always been low so it's hard for me to visually tell.

It seems better today but I was just wondering if this is probably what it's from. I was definitely going to bring it up to her at my next appointment or sooner if any other symptoms start to show up with the soreness.
