@sweetooth: I had quite a few cycles of progesterone because I went thorough quite a few cycles where periods wouldn't start. I don't know if it is typical or not, but some cycles my period would start the day after I stopped it, and one took two weeks to start. My RE's office said both cases were normal.

@sweetooth: I'm sorry to hear about your IUI. I had a failed IVF this past summer and it took me three days to get my period after stopping progesterone, but I was told that if AF didn't come after a week to call my Dr.

@Running Elley: Thank you for sharing. I was on prometrium too. And it's looking like 3 days is when it's going to happen for me. Isn't it funny how we go from not wanting AF to show, to wanting it to show SO badly? Bleh.

@kentuckygirl: My normal cycle length is 28-32 days. It's been pretty consistent around 28-29 days that past few months. Today is day 29. I guess I'll just cool it until day 32.

@PrincessBaby: @justdarling: Thanks for letting me know!

I wasn't on it for IUI, but to induce AF and it started almost two weeks after stopping it. Dr said two weeks after stopping the pills was the longest it should take for what I was using it for.

@Mrs.Someone: Thanks for the info. I hope it doesn't mess up my cycle too much. I'm checking in with my doctor for sure.

@raintreebee: Thanks for letting my know that. Maybe mine will show tonight? I used to be pretty much like clockwork. And I'm not at all late yet, but I just don't have any period symptoms. So I'm a little thrown off.

I don't have personal experience, but I was prescribed the same amount of progesterone for having marginally low levels.

My acupuncturist strongly opposed me using it before a BFP because she said it messes with your cycles. What she said was it delays the actual bleeding, but O is still on schedule. So say AF should've started on the 1st, and you usually O on day 15. With progesterone, you could instead start AF on the 4th, but still O on the 15th. Hope that makes sense.

Of course, talk to your doctor about it though!

I have lots of questions following my first failed IUI. They didn't come to me quick enough while I had my doctor on the phone yesterday. I have a call into the doctor's office, but I'm just posting on HB to seek out answers from this great community :)

I was on progesterone after the IUI procedure. 200mg, twice a day. Upon learning that my IUI failed, I stopped taking the progesterone.

My question is this - when will my period arrive? I felt all of my usual period symptoms prior to my beta blood test, and now I feel nothing at all. I have no clue when it will arrive.

If you were on progesterone after your IUI, and the IUI failed, when did you get your period? I know everyone is different, I'm just curious what kind of timeline I'm dealing with.
