For us it's about family and that's how we will be known even when our kids are adults. Hence why we didn't do mommy and daddy. When our kids are 27, they won't be calling us mommy and daddy! For example, each year my mom would get us a new ornament that was our symbol as well... So my sister's stocking was an angel, mine was Santa Claus, and my brother's was a train.
