I think it used to be standard not to give the TDap to pregnant women, but that has been overturned in recent years. The benefit of getting it while pregnant is you can pass your antibodies on to the baby. But then like a week later the CDC issued a ruling saying giving TDaP to pregnant women was OK. So i didn't know what to do. I'm due jan 25 and my ob gyn practice still only gives pregnant ladies the shot post-delivery. </p>
