I'm sorry :( Our pets have been driving me nuts. Not financially right now-- although we do have one cat with a chronic health condition that cost us thousands a few years ago and now has ongoing monitoring and meds that aren't super cheap. Love them but ugh, sometimes they're a PITA. :(

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Ahh, he is so young too! Yes I totally agree. Nothing much happened to her when I was single, living at home and had disposable income. Now that DH is back in school, we're expecting a baby, etc, my dog decides to just have issue after issue! I feel so bad to feel frustrated, my dog just looks at me w/ her puppy eyes

I can relate, we love out 2 yr old pup to pieces but we have had so many vet visits in the last couple years. He is so healthy but then bam something happens and we are back there. My husband and I had to go through IVF this year, all out of pocket which is ridiculously expensive and painful on the bank account... and literally the day of, our dog got so sick and we had to shell out another $1100 dollars. Worst timing ever. But thankful he made a full recovery. I feel like when it rains it pours!

@MrsRcCar: I feel you! Frustrating is def the word! And it's like we do everything "right" to raise this dog and there's is never much we can do about her medical problems since we didn't really cause it

@Cherrybee: Her hematoma is coming from allergies too... She shakes her ears a lot and they are flappy so the blood vessel pops. I feel your pain!!

Oh no, I'm so, so sorry. Vets bills are a nightmare. One of our dogs has a load of allergy issues and we are forever having to shell out for antibiotics for him tearing a hole in himself. Ugh.

Sorry about your pups poor health. :( I don't have insurance on any of our animals either. I am facing a vet bill this week for a cat that may or may not have crystals in his urine.....This generally wouldn't be a problem but I am not working too much, so we are relying on DH's check to cover our day to day bills and medical bills, plus our day to day things. The cats vet bill doesn't figure into that. We will find a way to make it work but I am a little frustrated that it is happening now.

So our dog is 8.5yrs old, she is a mixed breed that we adopted from a foster home. In the past 5 years she just has non stop medical issue! We never got insurance for her since we were not hoping to deal w/ these things constantly and shelling out $$.

She had cancer, then hematoma in one ear, then bladder stones, and now hematoma in another ear.

It's just been hard since we're expecting in Dec, and I found out I'm making zilch during maternity... But all these unexpected huge expenses for her have really thrown me off!

Ok.. rant over.
