I talked it over with my husband and FIL who is an attorney, and they both said not to post things online. While I think she deserves it, they think it could get ugly and she could try to retaliate. I sent her a couple texts, since that's how we primarily communicated, telling her we came home to several potty accidents and checked our security footage to find that she didn't come to the house for the 4 visit a day we paid her for. I then listed all the times she came that the security camera showed, so she knows that we have proof of when she came. </p> <p>The messages show that she has seen them, but she has not responded. She probably won't refund but I would divide her daily rate by 4 visits a day and tell her she should only be paid per visit made.</p> <p>As to anyone worried about giving keys out, we had Kwikset Smartkey locks on our old house; you can rekey them yourselves as often as you want. He reluctantly agreed to have a dog walker when I go back to school in the fall because our puppy will only be 4 months. Our dog came to us with parasite galore (a rescue) and we don't want to risk more infections at doggie daycare. Although I wanted our pet sitter to use the back door to only be in one room as we don't wear shoes in the house, my husband wants her to have the garage code that we can change frequently and have key in a lock box as a back up. We've given feedback in the first day or two (while we're gone) if needed and especially for something like missing visits!
