@ALittleP: I'm 5'0" and I have the Boppy and the Brest Friend. Originally I only registered for the Boppy and ended up buying the Brest Friend after LO was born. I used the Brest Friend for the first 2 months (when baby is small and nursing sessions are long) and then I switched to the Boppy and use it all the time (LO is almost 6 months).

I think you are in the Seattle area...so you can come and use mine if you want to try them out :). Just shoot me an email

You all are very helpful - thanks!! I might try a consignment store and see if there are any to try and if not, I'll just buy them all and try them to see which one will work best for me!

I have the breastfriend and boppy. I loved the way the breastfriend supported the baby (that sucker is sturdy!) but my LO had reflux and we had to feed him at an angle. So we had to ditch it. The good thing about the boppy is that it has multiple uses (tummy time, sitting up) whereas the breastfriend can only really be used for BFing. So depends on what you want to use it for. I admit, I wasn't completely sold on the boppy at first but after we got one from a friend, I would totally buy one. We used it a lot. :)

I'm 5'0 and technically "even" torsoed, but at 5'0, that's a short torso compared to everyone else... My friend got me the boppy because she LOVED it. I haven't had the baby yet, but it seems like a good size.... I'll get back to you in a week or two or three. ;)

I'm 5'1" also. uh... not sure how my torso looks. But we used the Boppy. I tried My Breast Friend in one of our breastfeeding classes and found it overwhelming though I could see how it would work well with a newborn. Our LO was 9lbs 3oz when born so luckily the Boppy we registered for worked perfectly for us.
And Chopsuey may be right - BRU doesn't like letting customers try out stuff hahaha... at least from my experience. Might want to try a BBBaby in your area if there is one. You might want to contact your local La Leche League coordinator/group to see if they have some for you to try/borrow.

I have three different pillows, a Boppyish one, one that looks like a boomerang and the My Breast Friend. I just got the My Breast Friend for this baby so I am hoping it works for me. I like that it is adjustable.

@ALittleP: i had the boppy and the my brest friend, and preferred the boppy, but a lot of people prefer the my breast friend. i think that one is easier when baby is a newborn.

olive is almost 7 months old and i still use the boppy daily.

@ALittleP: If they give you grief for trying them out, just buy them, take them home and try, then return! HAHA. :P :D

I know petite moms who've used Brest friend and the Boppy! If I were you, I'd go to BRU and just try them out.
See which one you like better!

I've been told it's important to get a nursing pillow that fits well and doesn't cause back problems. There are three that I'm aware of and am curious what works best for petite moms: My Brest Friend, Boppy Pillow and the Luna Lullaby Bosom Pillow.

Any recommendations on one vs another for a petite woman? I'm 5'1" with a short torso.

Thanks in advance!
