FertilityFriend counts ovulation as part of the luteal phase. </p> <p>I think being able to share your average will be good enough for a starting point with your doctor. They will do tests that give a lot of information about what's happening during your cycles! So FP is from CD1, up to ovulation and then ovulation happens and then you would count the next day as day 1 because 1 whole day had passed since you ovulated. The thing is, the American Pregnancy Association doesn't really give an answer :( Honestly the truth is that it doesn't even matter. I just couldn't find a straight answer on my Googling attempts, so I thought the bees would know! I feel like everyone on HB is an expert on all things TTC, haha! So I was reading the pages from those links and they are actually don't really clear things up.The first one (duofertility) has the cycle in three phases where ovulation is it's own thing. The second site (americanpregnancy) has a vague description that says the FP is CD1 up until the day of ovulation and the LP is from the day of ovulation until the last day before AF. I have seen similar things on other sites too. So none of them really say which phase (if any!) ovulation belongs to.
