@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Haha - okay, so I walled you the answer but it seems like if you're not taking Regional Rail they can travel for free?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Oh, and totally understandable that you'd rather use public transit...no one drives in/into the city if they don't have to! DH takes the train every day no matter how inconvenient it is.

@spaniellove: I opted to stay in the city. SEPTA has a Trip Planner on it, so I have a game plan of how to get to the museum and back. There's even a Cosi's 2 miles away. Now I just have to wait for my favorite cousin- the tots dad- to give me the go ahead and take them on public trans. Is it bad I'd rather use taxi/ bus/ trolley/ train than drive (and park) in the city? Do you know if I have to get each child their own fare pass? Or can I load up mine for all three of us? Still searching SEPTA's website for that answer.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: If you have that car there is the Adventure Aquarium in Camden?

(Although of course if you could drive you could also get to the Please Touch Museum!)

agree w/ spaniellove, if you can stay near the hi-speed line, it gets you right into the city. just as an fyi, the please touch museum has moved from center city to a (close-by) suburb that you either need to drive to, or take a bus.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: BTW if you're driving, you can make it work getting in and out of the city. True, it's not as easy as walking to and from your hotel but once you get over the bridge it's pretty direct. You just need GPS  Feel free to wall me, I don't live too far from there!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Oh wow, I would probably rent a car from there. I don't know if Crowne Plaza is an option but it's much closer to Center City...Residence Inn is like at the other end of Cherry Hill. If you want to drive and park at a PATCO station it does take you directly to Center City and I think you can transfer to SEPTA from there.

@spaniellove: Residence Inn by Marriott. The hotel front desk clerk advised me the closest public transportation was a bus station and that was a 10 minute walk away. We originally had not planned to rent a car, but we didn't anticipate using busses only trains. I'm not sure I want to lug bulky bags on a bus. PATCO connects to SEPTA and Regional airport train?

Would you rent a car or just take public transportation and taxis?

Cherry Hill to Philly is no big deal at all. Is it near a PATCO station at all? Do you happen to know which hotel it is?

Let's say you are staying in Cherry Hill, NJ, but all of your activities are in Philly, do you still fly into PHL? Do you rent a car?

My college reunion is next month on the same weekend as Penn Relays so the hotels in the city are extremely high or sold out. The new, updated room block is for a Cherry Hill, NJ hotel that is not even near a subway station.

Initially we were going to fly in Thursday and depart Sunday. On Friday, I was going to take my toddler cousins to Please Touch and Cosi's for table side s'mores. Saturday was going to be sight seeing with Mr. Lime. Now, I think I should condense my trip and fly in Friday. Sightsee on Friday and stay in the city until a Friday night alumni event. Take the tots to the museum on Saturday. Condensing the trip cuts out family time Thursday night with my aunt and older cousins. Ugh! I want to stay in the city.

Tell me Cherry Hill to Philly isn't all that bad.
