@mrsquincy: I'm very sorry for your loss :(

I think everyone, and every pregnancy was different. With my first mc, I was still getting positives on HPTs like, 6 weeks after my D&C. My body was really holding on to the HCG or something. And my first period after that, I had really bad cramps the day before it started.

With my last 2 (naturals) I felt pretty normal almost right away. More so with the first of those, from what I remember. My last one was a bit harder, but I still felt ok. Had some pretty bad cramping though.

Hope you're feeling "normal" again soon. Lots of love

I'm sorry  I remember I had a heightened sense of smell for a few weeks after I lost the baby, and was very emotional still. I think it all lasted about a fortnight.

It took 13 days for my hCG to drop below 5. My pregnancy symptoms went away within a week of my miscarriage. I'm sorry for your loss.

A few weeks ago I found out I was pregnant for the first time. Unfortunately last Tuesday I started bleeding heavily and an ultrasound revealed an empty uterus. My initial hcg level was 800 and a follow-up test showed it down to 80 as of Friday. The bleeding has stopped now, but I have still had a couple spells of nausea and have had constant dull headaches since this happened. I'm just hoping things return to normal soon, especially since my hcg levels have dropped significantly.

Has anyone else experienced symptoms like these following a MC? How long did it take until you felt "normal" physically?

P.S. Thank you to all who have shared their MC journey on this board, it was very helpful for me to not feel so alone in this.
