In order: 3 Bold color, geometric, 2 Muted colors, sunburst, 5 Muted color, tapestry, 4 Not just blue floral, 1 Bold color, floral.</p> <p>Putting the rugs side by side was helpful. The bold geometric is too bold for the area. A similar rug will work in the family room, where I am already playing with shapes and patterns. See fam room couch pillow attached. </p> <p>The fourth rug- not just blue floral makes me smile big. This one may go into my office aka the only room in the house that has more than two colors.</p> <p>The last rug- muted color, tapestry is probably the best fit. It's light enough to stand out against dark wood. Our walls are light and the drapes are steel blue. Dark rug on dark floor may make the room bottom heavy I think. Not an expert, just a guess. </p> <p>I saw an Ethan Allen showroom pic on a blog. It featured two similar colored rugs. One was a floral and the other was a zig zig geometric. I'll try to post for you guys to see it. Using the showroom as inspiration I think the last one would work in the dining room since it has a border and I need to find a similar hued geometric for the living room. </p> <p>@RunNerd: I really like the Nourison and Safavieh.
