She does well usually but I wonder if maybe it is a stress thing? Or maybe she always is put down at home if she pinches so she only does it when we are out? I just can't put her down at the grocery store or the pool. When she pinches, firmly say no pinching! And grab her hand.<br /> If she does it again. Repeat.<br /> 3rd time. Repeat, but put her in a pack and play or in another room for 30 seconds-a minute. </p> <p>If she doesn't know she's doing it.. I have recently started caring for a 10 month old baby and she pinches all the time, it is a full hand pinch too.. The worst is when she is on your hip she grabs the back of your arm and squeezes! We are at a loss as to how to fix it because I don't think she realizes she is even doing it, when we react she either laughs or cries. Her mom was saying she avoids holding her because it is so unpleasant and her siblings arereally losing their patience...</p> <p>Does anyone have a suggestion? We are all black and blue! </p>
